The European Girolle, also known as the Chanterelle (we also sell these); is one of the more striking of all the wild mushrooms. With a rich golden colour, fluted shape and strong aroma of fresh apricots, it is a treat for any food lover.
This mushroom has the most pungent aroma, that is highly sought after. Girolles are very fine mushrooms with a very subtle taste. They are traditionally used in recipes such as stews, risottos and omelettes.
Our gourmet customers can take advantage of our fresh, dried or frozen Girolles. London Fine Foods provides it Girolles in boxes of 1kg. Season is usually between June and October.
