These 'diamonds' of the culinary world are nothing short of mesmerising! The intricate white veining and marbling throughout the Alba truffle produces an aroma and flavour that is gastronomically unique and wonderfully intoxicating. This, the King of Truffles comes from the small market town of Alba, in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy. During harvesting season, the local truffle hunters gather their wares at the beginning of each week, setting the global price per kilo dependent on the quality and quantity of their foragings.
Our truffles are flown direct to London to ensure optimum freshness and quality.
Note: Truffles usually range between 30g and 110g however we do also offer a 15g truffle subject to availability. We suggest that truffles should be consumed more or less immediately although they will last for up to 7 days in a domestic fridge.
Based on the 2009 Summer Truffle yield, we expect this year to be a great season for the Alba truffle, however as always this is dependent of the truffle hunters from the hills of Northern Italy.
We normally get truffles in twice a week on a Tuesday and a Thursday; so to ensure you recieve your truffles in their freshest condition please try to order by 12pm on a Monday or by 12pm on a Wednesday.
PLEASE BE AWARE TRUFFLE PRICES DO ALTERNATE THROUGHOUT THE SEASON. THIS IS A GUIDELINE PRICE BUT IT COULD VARY THROUGHOUT THE SEASON. PLEASE CALL FOR MORE DETAILS.
