Once in a while the sturgeon bears real gold in the form of the Golden Almas Caviar egg. During harvest time the sturgeon gills are checked and sometimes the Almas egg is found behind the base of the gills. Pale with a translucent amber colour, these unique eggs are without doubt the true treasures of the Caviar world. The taste of this caviar is nothing but surreal.

The eggs have a beautifully buttery form while still maintaining that wonderful nutty taste associated with a first-class Oscietra caviar.

This year, provisioners to the super yachts in the South of France and St Maarten were quoting the value of this product as £28,500 per kilo!
